Free xetra xbar 3.0

Wednesday, April 26, 2006

What is the hype about xbar 3.0 all about? When I first used the Symbian series of smartphones(Nokia 6600),I was charmed at the ease of operation it has put in;mainly the copy/paste functionality which is embedded into it's ROM.Well, lets put an end to Nokia's monopoly in the copy/paste area by opting for Xbar 3.0 which hosts a hoard of positives including the much awaited copy/paste in windows smartphones;the only downer being the complexity involved in it's usage(windows smartphones were never considered to be user-friendly)!!
Lay your hands on Xbar 3.0 and start off by keying in the registration code::23074 (it works only if Start-->Settings-->Owner Info.-->Name==Smartphone),Voila!!(Pl buy if you really like this product). Its time to play with this tool now.Press the joystick for 2 seconds and you are greeted with an app which pops as shown in this picture. You find all the apps currently running on the phone.
1)So,whenever you want to copy/paste sth, launch Xbar and press the volume down key(at the left side of HTC Typhoon) which makes sure that the text is selected. Now,press the volume Up key to paste the text. You have just mimicked copy/paste functionality of Symbian phones ;)
2)Now,just press keypad "1" for less than a second and then, all but the highlighted app are closed(killed).Prolonged keypress of "1" will exit all the running apps.

There are so many other features of this tiny app.Do visit the help file on the Xbar app to learn more about its features. Now,enjoy the full smartphone functionality!!
